How a session works.
A model poses
A life model settles in and holds a series of poses. You really look, then translate what you see onto the page.
Short poses, then long
We start with quick poses to loosen the hand and let go, then longer ones to work on the detail. With breaks along the way to breathe and refill the glasses.
All levels, no judgement
Total beginner or charcoal regular: your sketchbook, your pace, your hand. An artist is there to help if you want.
Good to know.
In the evening
A session that slots in after work, in a calm, focused mood.
Materials provided
Paper, pencils, charcoal, pastels: a wide range of mediums to choose from. You can bring your own sketchbook and materials too.
A drink included
Coffee, a homemade drink or a glass of wine, included in the session: you draw better relaxed.

Do I need to know how to draw?
No. Life drawing is exactly how you learn to look and capture the body from life. Everyone draws with their own eye, free of judgement.
Are materials included?
Yes: paper, pencils and charcoal are provided. You can bring your own sketchbook too.
Do I need to book?
Yes, it's recommended: spots are limited. The next sessions are on the booking page.
