The idea is simple: like a restaurant menu, each craft has its price (€22 to €30 for 2h, all included), and you pay on site. We explain everything when you arrive, and we come by your table throughout the session for a tip or a question. Even the little slip-ups have style.

What is an art café?

An art café is a coffee shop where you come to make something, no class required. At Artichaut in Montmartre you pick one of five crafts à la carte (watercolour, drawing and pastel, lino printing, embroidery, mosaic), we bring the materials and a coffee, and the table is yours for two hours. No level needed, no yearly membership. We settle you in, show you the first moves and come back to check on you. We're two sisters from a family of artists, a sculptor mother, a ceramist father and brother, and we grew up in their studios. Book your arrival time online or walk in if a table is free, and pay on site, €22 to €30depending on the craft. It's the spirit of New York's art cafés, neighbourhood edition: come alone, as a couple or with friends, and leave with what you made.
