Who's « we »?
A family affair.
A sculptor mum, a ceramist dad and brother, who even opened his own ceramics café in Bordeaux. We grew up in the family ceramics studios, where we saw the same thing every time: people come to learn, sure, but above all to feel proud of themselves and have a good time. Artichaut is what we wanted to open up to everyone, on rue Lamarck.

What is Artichaut?+
Artichaut is a creative café in Montmartre, at 82 rue Lamarck (Paris 18e). You grab a coffee or a drink and practise an art à la carte: watercolour, drawing, lino printing, embroidery or mosaic. All levels, no yearly membership.
Do I need to book? And to know how to draw?+
Neither. Booking is recommended to be sure of a table, but you can drop in like at a restaurant. And all levels are welcome: we're here to guide you.
How much is it?+
Each craft has its own price, €22 to €30 for 2 hours, shown on its page: that's the full price, materials and basic surface included. On site, extra surfaces (tee, trivet…) are offered as add-ons. Workshops, themed or artist-led, each have their own price, €24 to €35 depending on the session, and private groups start at €35 per person. Coffee and treats are extra.
Is it a good idea for a date or with friends?+
Yes. Come solo, on a date or with friends: it's a perfect outing to create together over a coffee. As a group, it's €35 per person with a drink included, up to 10; beyond that, or to have the place to yourselves, we do private hire on request.
Can I just come for a coffee?+
Of course. We're a real café: settle in, work, chat, without making anything at all. We just hope the place inspires you, one way or another.

Great! Write to us via the private-events form and we'll build it together: groups at €35/person up to 10, or private hire of the whole place on request, reply within 24h.
Are children welcome?+
Of course! From age 4, your kid can create next to you in the à la carte studio, any day we're open, at the same price as an adult. There's also the Wednesday workshop for ages 6-12 and creative birthdays: it's all on the kids workshops page.
So what's an art café, exactly?+
A coffee shop where you come to make something, no class required. Pick one of five crafts à la carte, we bring the materials and a coffee, and the table is yours for two hours. No level, no yearly membership, you pay on site. The spirit of New York's art cafés, in Montmartre.
À la carte studio or a class?+
À la carte studio. You come once, two hours, no commitment, and you choose what you make: follow a model, bring your own idea, or just give it a try. We explain everything when you arrive, and we come by your table throughout the session for a tip or a question. Workshops have a theme and a date, and an artist guides the whole group step by step. Accessibility: one step at the entrance, with a portable ramp available (let us know you're coming and we'll have everything ready). Inside, everything is on one level, accessible toilet included, and we serve at the table. Guide and assistance dogs welcome.
