Creative session · Montmartre
Mosaic class in Montmartre.
You break things to make beautiful ones. Colourful, a little obsessive, hugely satisfying when every piece finally finds its place. A mosaic class open to all levels, no commitment.
Why you'll love it
Mosaic is the puzzle you invent. You choose your colours, cut, assemble, grout: the result is crisp and striking, even as a beginner. In 2 hours, we teach you cutting and setting, and you leave with a solid, colourful piece made to last.
What you can assemble
A small decorative piece to take home:
- a trivet for your Sunday dishes
- a coaster or a trivet
- a small geometric piece
- a keyring or an everyday object
How does a session work?
We choose your colours together, then you cut the tesserae with pliers and glue them onto your surface, piece by piece. It's a little obsessive, very satisfying. Once the assembly is done, we move to grouting, which gives that crisp, colourful finish. In two hours, you leave with a solid piece made to last.
Will someone actually help me?
Yes, and it's our favourite part. We grew up in artists' studios, so we share our best tips with you: the small moves that change everything, how to save a slip, when to stop. We explain everything when you arrive, then come by your table throughout the two hours. Everyone goes at their own pace, on their own idea, and we step in wherever you need us. The goal: you leave with something really beautiful, even if it's your very first time.
How much does it cost?
€30 for two hours, materials included. No membership, no card to buy: come once, pay on site. Drinks are extra, from the café menu. The only possible add-on is a bigger or fabric surface, and we offer it before you start.
Frequent questions
Is mosaic long to learn?
No, cutting and setting take a few minutes to grasp. The result is striking even as a beginner.
What can I make?
Your coaster is included in the price. Feeling ambitious? The trivet is offered on site, as an add-on.
Are materials included?
Yes: tesserae, glue, pliers and the basic surface are in the price (a coaster). Other surfaces, like a trivet, are offered on site.
Is the à la carte studio no commitment?
Yes. You come once, two hours, no membership: book your arrival time or drop in if a table is free, and pay on site, €30 all in. We show you cutting and setting when you arrive, then you make your mosaic at your own pace, and we come by your table throughout the session for a tip.
